In a bizarre collaboration that breaks conventional predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Revealed

According to the formal announcement, "An unusual encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of prohibited rituals and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret cult.

The mission focuses on "strange trials and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Extra Content

Players who finish the quest will obtain an exclusive katana alongside numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Newest Free Story Update

This update also introduces the game's latest free story content, titled "The Mystery." Faithful to its name, "The Enigma" also features a original environmental puzzle that may ultimately clarify some lingering questions from the main storyline.
